An Executive Order was issued today by the FWC. A brief version:

Motor vehicles, swamp buggies, tracked vehicles and ATVs are prohibited.

Vessel, other than air boats, may be operated only in established canals (except for those canals adjacent to or accessible from the L 4 and L 5 levees, which are closed to pubic access.

Licensed and permitted individuals may participate in the alligator hunt, waterfowl hunting, fishing, frogging and non native reptile removal.....no airboats....must maintain a minimum distance of 100 yards from tree islands or levees...to protect wildlife.

The taking of wildlife is prohibited except waterfowl, alligators and frogs.

The full notice will be posted on the FWC web site.
