cooler

Like many of you, have mostly used Igloo/Coleman coolers over the years. I have been eyeing the Lifetime 28 quart cooler (76$) Yeti, Orca, Pelican are just too much $. Anyone use a Lifetime cooler? In summer, an adult beverage can never be too cold!

Re: cooler

Well, I looked at the Lifetime 28 up close and liked what I saw. The latch system is easier than on coolers with rubber pulls only. The gasket on the lid bottom seems to seat better than the 55 quart model- that is a good buy also but a bit too big for my use. The top is solid and can be sat upon without any bowing and that is a plus. The two rope handles are ok- this might be the only weak point I saw, but this cooler is lighter than most in that size. It is made in the U.S.A.! The grey-blue color is only ok but a camo cushion should about cover it. I took the plunge and bought it. 76$ not bad- should last longer than a Coleman/Igloo. Will try it out this Memorial Day weekend!

Re: cooler

Raul,

I just saw this post (sorry) but to others looking my distributor handles Pelican, AO Coolers and Norchill coolers. I will sell them to you at cost.

Re: cooler

Thank you, Billy! I was also looking at Pelican but found the 28 Lifetime at a good price and fit for my needs.

Re: cooler

Well, I put some 12 canned beverages and 1 ten pound bag of ice in the cooler, this filled it about halfway- I know you are supposed to fill it to the brim with ice but wanted to see initial performance. Ice held for three days, temp peaking at 85F this past weekend, cooler was outside in partial shade. I know my Coleman would have had ice mostly gone before the second day. I am satisfied- even though the ad says five days. The drinks I sampled were noticeably colder and that is a plus with summer almost here!
